While the Government of India is taking steps for inclusion and rehabilitation of mentally challenged individuals, the topic is still widely regarded as taboo. The stigma and lack of acknowledgment leads to the exclusion of many ‘Neurodiverse.’ individuals, resulting in their ostracism from the mainstream society. Harnessing the talent and diversity that these special individuals bring and helping them get recognition, respect, gainful employment and self sustenance opportunities is the need of the hour.

Nai Subah has developed a partnership model in which our partner company, Anandkand Paramount Products is outsourcing production work to Shaurya Foundation Trust (SFT) to provide meaningful life skills and employment opportunities to neurodiverse people associated with SFT at its Palwal site. Currently, 12 neurodiverse people are employed through this initiative. Assisted Employment is a model for supporting people with significant disabilities to secure and retain paid employment. The model uses a partnership strategy to enable people with disabilities to achieve sustainable long-term employment and businesses to employ valuable workers.
